DIGITAL ARTWORK
We use CorelDRAW on a Windows platform and prefer that
artwork be provided in that format. However,
ordinarily we can convert files generated by most other
popular platforms applications, such as Illustrator,
Photoshop, or Freehand on either Macintosh or IBM
(Windows) platforms. General picture formats
include
* Windows meta files or .wmf suffixes,
* Tagged Image Formats or .tif suffixes
* jpegs or .jpg suffixes,
* bitmaps or .bmp suffixes,
* and gifs or .gif suffixes
It is advisable to call for guidance if you have
a specific application. However, as a general rule
when preparing art files for conversion, it is advisable
to convert all text to curves/outlines.
Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) files are the preferred
file format for vector art and Tagged Image Format (TIF)
files are preferred for bitmapped files with resolution
of 200-150 dpi at actual size.
Although it is advisable to
provide computer generated artwork on disk, this does
not necessarily eliminate art charges, especially in the
case of complicated multicolor designs. It is
probable that modifications will have to be made to
ensure a good final print. However, having the art
on disk will greatly reduce the artwork required.
It is quite common for unintended
changes to be introduced into computer art files when
converting between platforms or application programs.
Therefore, it is highly recommended that a hard-copy
version of the art be provided to accompany any disk to
serve as a cross check. In all cases of artwork
provided to us in digital format, we will require that
you approve the final art before printing.
SIZE PARAMETERS FOR EMBROIDERY
Lettering must be at least ¼" high. A typical left chest design is 3-4" wide. Designs embroidered
on hats can be no more than 2 ¼" high. Once we receive your logo, we will call you with any specific
questions regarding your logo. There is no charge
when setting up text if we use TShirt Broker's default
fonts. TShirt Broker's default fonts are Block and
Script.
